ABOUT US
Project Paper Planes is a nonprofit organization on a mission to empower underserved girls and young women in developing countries through education and mentorship.
We work with girls and young women, from high school through college, helping them shape their dreams while fostering authenticity, personal growth, and financial freedom. Our focus is on those from rural and economically challenged backgrounds. We expand their horizons by connecting them with a global network of successful women. Through education, mentorship, and interaction with inspiring women role models, we help our students envision their dream careers and lives and chart a course toward achieving them.
Our team consists of passionate individuals who deeply care about creating an open and equal world for everyone. We have come together to change the world one small step at a time. We are working towards building a world where everyone can truly flourish, be themselves, express their true nature and be free to grow into whatever they aspire to be.
Project Paper Planes Foundation is a volunteer run registered nonprofit organization under the Government of India Ministry of Affairs Companies Act 2013. We are a 12A registered nonprofit with section 80(G) status of income tax act and we are eligible to receive funding.

To build an open and equal world free of gender discrimination, where every girl has access to education, resources and opportunities to pursue her dreams and build a life of her choice.

Hi, I am Lipsa, an optimistic and energetic person seeking happiness for myself and others. I enjoy building solutions with the help of science and technology. I believe in dreaming big and giving my best to make my dreams a reality.
Dancing is my lifelong passion, I enjoy choreographing and performing. I also spend quite a bit of my time learning about myself, people, and nature while trying out different activities every now and then. I pursue activities such as hiking in nature, traveling with friends, or a heart to heart conversation with my loved ones.
Through Project Paper Planes, I am looking forward to supporting talented youth during their journey towards the fulfillment of their dreams and ambitions. Through this journey I hope to learn, inspire, and get inspired.

Hello! I am Shruti!
Let me start off by saying "I am a work in progress" and a full-time learner.
I have lost count of things that get me excited, almost anything, and everything! From diving to catch a glimpse of turtles to hiking the Himalayan ranges to watch a sunrise. My current passions include plant based cooking, learning the latest in artificial intelligence, neuroscience and more.
I see my life experiences as a nudge towards getting an understanding of the diverse world views, while trying to see the world from a non-judgmental lens.
An idea that has been consistent throughout my life is - How do I leave mamma Earth better than how I found it? That's one of the reasons why Project Paper Planes is close to my heart. I strongly believe in transformation even if its minuscule, it is eventually going to add up in the end. I'm super excited for all the students and the mentors of Project Paper Planes. I hope this community gives us hope to bring about change in ourselves and in turn in the world.

I am a person who is building - building a life of my own. My guiding force is doing what feels right & following the path my heart believes in. Actively challenging (and at times successfully changing) the norms - especially the gender-engrained.
A person with dreams like anyone else, loves creativity in all its forms (painting, crafts, decor and more), enjoys traveling and exploring new places, strives to make an impact one day at a time. As a professional I am passionate about startups & work to help startups grow. Always excited about understanding what people want & bringing those solutions to life.
A strong believer and advocate of independence - both financial and otherwise - I believe in a world where women are equal, empowered and are free to choose what they do - and I wish to help reach this goad with Project Paper Planes, providing a holding hand to those who want to get ahead and do the undone.

I have worked in the education space across the last 5 years. I enjoy working at the intersection of technology and learning, figuring how to make learning effective, accessible and affordable for all.

I enjoy reading all kinds of fiction novels, movies and taking up the occasional baking/cooking project too!

Through Project Paper Planes, I hope to make an impact in the lives of young women. Be it helping women with their career building, financial literacy or 21st Century skills, I am so excited to be on this journey to create positive change with the amazing Project Paper Planes team!
